Just wanted to thank all my classmates that offered condolences to me on the loss of my wife Heidi on August 19. The family appreciates it. We had 47 years together and three wonderful " kids " helping each other to pull through. Please support the ALS FOUNDATION if you can. Thanks. Hope to see you all " someday ". Thanks Bruce for your support.
Pete Opela just told me he saw Don Rees\' obit in the Chicago paper. What a great guy and a real asset to our great football team. Can you believe 21 grandkid.
Greeting to everyone. Sorry to here about our classmates that have past away these last few years. I would like to come, But Jane and I bought the Money Pit, Porcupine Walker, Gyssp Moth Ranch, in northern Wisconsin. So money is tight. But we love it up here! One thing I remember about 1960-70s, my parents almost never locked the house doors. Try that today.
Just saw the pictures from the 50 3 reunion. They are fantastic. So a big THANK YOU to all the photographers and to John and everyone else that have made them available.
Hi everyone! Have not attended any reunions but was just looking through yearbook. 50 years - just doesn't seem possible does it? I'm wondering if anyone can help me locate classmate Kathryn Levine?
I should have done this sooner. Bill Bradfield passed away November 8, 2015. He had been living in Arizona, and came back to Illinois (I think once a year) to visit.
Hello all! Looking forward to September and fall but not winter. It will be busy for me, as i have a grade school reunion in a couple of weeks. Also I'm going to the Ides of March 50th Anniversary in Glen Ellyn in a few weeks. Dick Biondi will be hosting, that should be fun!
Merry Christmas Class of 1970!
WOW--What A Great Reunion Weekend! ( It's been 10 days & I've almost recovered ; ) Really Looking Forward To Our Next--Gathering of The Forces--IN 2020 !!
Guess I let the time slip away. Retire two years ago. Sorry to here about "Coon Dog" (Chuck S.). Glad some of us are still having fun.
It has been a couple of weeks to collect my thoughts but I keep coming back to the same one .... "That Was GREAT!" Friday night at Molly Malones, the tour of the school, the football game, the 19th Century Club, the Ale House, reconnecting with old friends, making a few new ones and just having a great time has me looking forward to the next one.
My flight is booked. Looking forward to seeing everyone. I will be flying in on Thursday and leaving early Tuesday. If there are other plans for the long weekend let me know.
I can't wait to attend. Should be fun times.
I found out that Walter (Doug) Lull passed away in February 2017. He was living in Huntley, Illinois, where he retired after a career in the U.S. Navy.
I echo Al\'s praise of John\'s work on the Reunion DVD! Great job, John! Thanks once again to Ron & Bruce & Peggy for their hard work and dedication, and now for the continuation of the website!! Let\'s continue to make this a living, breathing "yearbook" by posting entries and profiles! It\'s been SO nice and memorable to read the words and see the faces of classmates and friends! Here\'s hoping that a joyous holiday season awaits each of us!
I can\'t believe all the classmates from 1971 that are attending ... should be a fun time!

A titanium hip, two radical head and neck surgeries and a ton of shit later I am stil, alive and kicking. When I first found out I had neck cancer I told my surgeon I did not want to survive, I wanted to thrive. Lifs is a wonderful, precious thing that can't be bought or sold, and I am grateful for every second I get to keep haning out. Bless you all
In Memorium: My big brother, Christopher Mazeika, Dec. 19, 1948 - March 27, 2015. OPRF Class of 1966.
Does anyone know where Sharon Oreilly of class of 73 is?
Sorry that I will miss the reunion!
I also want to thank Bruce for all his hard work in setting up the reunion. It was quite an affair, and I just hope Bruce got to spend a few minutes and enjoy the festivities.
Have a Happy & Safe Memorial Day. Keep our service men and women in your prayers and thoughts.
Al - we're not getting older - we're GETTING BETTER!!! (From the same Beatles album: "I used to get mad at my school; the teachers that taught me weren't cool")
YIKES! I am exactly 2 years away from The Beatles "WHEN I'M 64". Heck , I've ALREADY got the "When I get older losing my hair..." part down!
Huge thank you to Bruce and the reunion committee. Even though Rian and I couldn't attend this time, we know it takes endless planning to make something like this happen. We are both sorry we had to miss it. First one we've missed! Here's to our 50th in 2020!!
I recentley learned that Scott McParland passed away back in January. Here is Scott's obituary ... https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/chicagotribune/obituary.aspx?n=scott-e-mcparland&pid=191230058&fhid=15796

Greetings, fellow Huskies! After being AWOL for the 30th & 35th reunions, and at the risk of prompting a flood of CANCELLATIONS, I plan to BE THERE in October for the 40th.OK, Bruce Lehman, I submit that we are NOT "Senior Citizens". At least not just yet.I say it\'s not OFFICIAL until the DISCOUNTS kick in!Very sorry to know that Chuck Zamutt will not be there in October. Aside from being a big part of the reunion committee, he was as nice a guy as you\'d want to know.My only Chuck story is remembering him bringing in color photographs of one his surgeries to Band one day!FYI, In the past year, I have made on line contact with then Band Director, Ronnie "That sounded like a B-29 landing!" Holloman, and English Lit instructor Joe "I once went skinny dipping in a pool full of Jell-O" Granias. This is for my ex- RICKETTS HOMESTEAD Pony League teammate, Thom Mammoser:I have been living in Tucson, Arziona since late 1974 and working in local TV (visit our site at kvoa.com) production since early \'75. Married with 1 daughter. At the time, I never intended to stay here for the next 35 years but, as with a lot of us I\'m sure, life happened while I was making other plans!Looking forward to October 8th!
Hi folks. My apologies for letting my Alumni membership lapse. I am sure you were ALL deeply concerned to see MY name appear on the list of the "missing". Well, OK, maybe 1 or 2 folks were concerned. Still alive and kickin' in Tucson. Still married, still working. Best regards and Happy Holidays, classmates!
I'm saddened to inform all that friend and classmate Paul Roman passed away September 4 2019

A day late but, here's my Columbus Day joke; Columbus got GREAT milelage! He crossed the Atlantic Ocean and only used 3 GALLEONS!
I feel badly about not being able to attend the reunion. I came down with a sudden illness, and couldn\'t attend anything that weekend. I especially wanted to sing along with Cliff and Bruce, and go to Molly\'s and everything.I do hope everyone enjoyed themselves, and I very much hope we can all get together in 5 years again. Please feel free to write me at steely3000@hotmail.com and say hi, I\'d love to hear from you. Take care.

Gerry Sullivan's wife, Liz Sullivan, sent us the following message on April 17, 2016: My husband Gerry Sullivan and I just saw that footage from Concussion featured Oak Park scenes. Gerry, a graduate of OPRF and member of 1969 champion team, is also featured in quick clip in beginning of movie during Webster Hall of Fame speech. It's a Browns v Steelers game. Gerry is #79 on Browns. Just a neat tie-in and FYI.
Message from Glenn Rierson, dated October 12, 2015: I will not be able to make it up north this weekend. Say hey to all of the Washington Elementary alumni!!!! Have a great time one and all!!
